For international travel we don’t believe that crate hire is viable for our customers or desirable from a border control viewpoint. Crate hygiene is critical for the health of your pet and the risk of a contaminated or poorly cleaned crate causing border crossing issues is simply not worth the risk.

For domestic travel we are able to retrieve crates and ensure good crate hygiene at prices that are not prohibitive. Crates are cleaned with the hospital grade sanitizing agent Trigene after every use so you can be sure your pet travels in a clean crate. We also provide shredded paper bedding for use during the trip and you know that the crate is IATA and Airline approved.

Dont be fooled by "airline approved" statements on crates - every airline has their own requirements. There are many requirements that must be satisfied for both the airline and IATA. Very few crates can be purchased that will be fully acceptable so call PetMove before you grab a bargian that could be a dud.

PetMove has a number of crates from small to a large size available for hire. Our hire rates are $55 per trip plus the return crate cost of $33.75. If you trip does not involve Christchurch then there will be a delivery charge to get the crate to the departure city – this charge varies dependent on the city and crate being sent but would not normally exceed $33.75.
